I do not believe he puts much stock in it be know to those who call themselves his friends.

I am aware of his dislikes for it. It would be best if I were not involved. Mine own has always overshadowed his.

Mine is in a moon’s time. When I lived in King’s Landing, the preparations for it often began weeks ahead under the King’s orders.

No. Not for a second son, nor one so far down the line from the throne, especially when compared to the heirs’ eldest.

I see. You know, where I'm from, it's expected that a father should love his children equally.

[ Yes he knows Jace is the late king's grandchild, but close in age, and all growing up together - close enough. ]

I will not say my grandsire was without fault, even before his illness clouded his mind. My uncles and I knew a different man.

I trust you will see to it. I have let Pierce Strickland know as well, Perhaps it will be a more pleasant name day than his last.

I do not. I know only of Aemond’s loyalty to him. ( and what that means he is a friend of his uncle’s. )

[ Though he knows a little more about that relationship...and how Aemond may not be ready to have it known in front of the family. Hmm. ]

It might be better to ask what he'd like to do for it instead of surprise him. I'll figure it out
