Things been busy, but know you got your hands full, too.

You and yours okay? After last month.
Saw Koby and Hawk around, so figured you had a set of eyes watching your back.

Last month was really hard. I buried a friend. And I just lost another, disappeared. I'm glad to see you're still around though.

What about you? It must have been strange being human again.

Ash was killed, in all that. I had fire powers from the Temp V, I had to melt the frozen ground outside so he could be buried. And fight, a lot. It was tough.

And Harry Dresden is gone. We were really close.

During the games, when I was attacked, everyone started hovering over me, being protective. It was sweet, and they all meant well, but it was suffocating. For lack of a better word. Harry made up some magic charms instead. He gave me the means to protect myself. I knew he was special.

You guys were close before, weren’t you?

When I was in the cells after I was accused, I was alone. Not always the best version of myself when left like that.

Harry showed up daily, brought me books to read and discussed them. Kept me sane when I might not have made it out otherwise.

He didn't trust vampires at first - much like you didn't. But he challenged his own beliefs. I'm grateful he did.

That sounds like him. He’s a good man. I’m glad he was there for you.

He’d had a lot of trouble with them back home. That’s why I never told him when I was bitten, I didn’t want to worry him. I regret that now.

For what it’s worth, I’m glad that you could change our minds. You lost a friend too, but you’re consoling me. You’re a good person too, Louis.
