I don’t know who either of us would have killed the first round. There was much magic in the second, obviously, despite the first lacking any at all besides compulsion. I have command spells that could have instructed Paul to go willingly, though I can’t imagine why I would have drained him in such a way.
So we look for archers among the hearts, and magic users among the spades, too. But we have to limit it down somehow. There is never going to be enough evidence to soothe every doubt.

It could be this was the Alpha’s first kill, given the ritualistic nature of it.
Spike also lacks the compulsive ability, for whatever it’s worth.
I raise an alternative, as tick our proverbial boxes: Bucky is a superhero, a dark haired male on the Hearts, and in possession of the superior strength required to have removed Koby’s head. Stephen can tell you whether he is also sharpshooter, I’m sure.
I'm sorry, but not anyone. I was at the scene personally. Will was killed quickly, by someone who knew what they were doing. He was dead so quick he didn't have time to struggle or stumble or spread blood all over the place.
Bucky seems like a strong candidate. We're looking for four.
