Have they proven what causes baldness?

Hormones and nutrition, I think?

Why?

I may have said something outdated about it at breakfast.

Namely that the cause is perspiration.

You and I would be going bald together, if that were true.

I suppose that is a fair point.

This may sound odd, but I must ask: did you find the modern people's grooming and cleanliness much different from your own when you arrived?

The popular styles are certainly different, but the process, not so much. Maybe a few more steps. Why?

Sometimes the strangest things remind me how far in the future I am, that's all.

In my day you just had a quick clean of your bits at the basin in the morning, and we weren't much for hair washing.

Guess we're all spoiled with access to hot water whenever we want it.

I could let the sweat build up for a few days, if you miss the stinking men from home 😄

We didn't stink! Well, not in London. (Although London stank.)

That's not true. Maybe there was another one you would have liked even more, and we'll never know because I wanted it to be a surprise! I almost picked the one with the panda on it.

Not in person, just in the planet earth movie.

Then there you go, you cheeky thing.

Nor have I. But I saw giraffes once, when I was allowed to visit the scientific zoo.

There's a zoo back in Washington, they've got all kinds of things. No pandas yet, but they will. Sometime in the 70s, if you believe the internet. I'll take you before we run away to California.

I've listened to some. You remember Fleetwood Mac? I like them. And that movie, Saturday Night Fever? That was 70s stuff.

Oh, with the singer who is a bit goat-like? I did enjoy that.

Ah, with all the gyrating and tight trousers.

Yes, the gyrating. You should get yourself a pair, I'll take you dancing. 🙂

Because I'm so well known for my sense of rhythm.

Oh! I got new spectacles for Christmas. You'll have to tell me if you like them.

You don't have to be perfect, yoy just have to have fun and not break my toes.

Now I've spectacles and a beautiful pocketwatch so I am incredibly fashionable.

Oh, they look great! The thin frames suit you.

So very fashionable. If I turn my back you'll come home with two more lovers.

Oh, no. No, I'm not really in the market. Although I did have someone inquire, I suppose. But I've made no plans.

My attention is very much on the beautiful man wearing my ring.
